My best friend & her boyfriend broke up about a month ago. She was completely in love with him, & still is, but she broke up with him. She's been talking to a different guy, who she likes a lot. But still struggles with her ex. She's hoping this new guy will help her get over him too. She's just been so down lately, & not herself because of it. I just wish I could help her someway. Any suggestions? /:

hey I know this must be difficult to see your best friend so down all the time and i know it must be difficult for your best friend too. Have you tried speaking to her about it? Like just comforting her - if she broke up with him then i assume it was her choice, and it was a brave choice since she loves him - the most you can do is just be there for her, time heals as well, she will feel happier in time <3

I don't know whether to be worried about a friend. She recently found out that I'm suicidal, and that I self harm. Today, she told me 'I feel suicidal, I mean, I would never even consider suicide, but still.' I don't know if she's just saying that to make me feel better, of if she means it, I want to talk about it, but I don't know how. What should I do?

Its completely understandable that you’d be worried about her - maybe you could bring it up with her cos maybe she wants to talk as well about it, but you’re feeling bad too, so maybe both of you, whether it’s together or by yourselves, should speak to someone professional about it, not actually to each other - maybe just approach the situation and talk about it at first but then go into speaking about maybe talking to someone professional? It’s for the best <3
